UPDATE: Oops. I made a minor mistake. The deadline is actually May 30th, not May 31st. You can check the follow link (awa-con.com forum thread) for confirmation:
[link]May 30th is the deadline!
I have created a Design Contest folder with the group gallery. You can submit your pieces into that folder if you'd like. Keep in mind that this folder does not serve as another form of entry. You are still responsible for submitting your entry by the choices listed below. Only submit finished works, no WIPs!
Anime Weekend Atlanta Design Contest 2012
What is AWA looking for?
Theme Forest/Agricultural Spirits
Original artwork to be used on the souvenir merchandise; program guide, postcards, t-shirts, buttons and other items.
Entries may also be used on the AWA website and convention advertising.
The t-shirts will be spot color printed, which means that you can only use a total of four different colors in your t-shirt designs. Spot color printing doesn't blend colors like process printing so you are really limited on colors those four colors.
The buttons/pins/badges will be printed using a four process printing. Process printing uses four different colors (black, cyan, magenta and yellow) in various combinations to create more colors. Basically, it's what a standard home printer would use on images. You are not limited on colors for process printing as colors like green or purple can be created by combining two of the four process colors.
